A man Spent £5,000 To save The Life Of His Dog Is Worth It?

He’s just a dog. And I don’t even like dogs. Well, didn’t to be precise. Didn’t see the point of them at all, until, in a moment of weakness, a 12-year-old daughter with a very persuasive, pleading face managed (again) to get her way.
So we bought Toffee. And my daughter Clara was indeed beside herself with joy as she promised she would be. My wife Sarah and I were back to looking after a small vulnerable thing, long after we thought those days were over.
But it was fine. Toffee was a very sweet, fluffy labradoodle who seemed as delighted with us as we are with him. And hey, if you’ve had twins, a puppy is really no sweat. Also, he seemed to like me!

Seven-month-old baby murdered with his parents becomes a symbol in the war against gangs

Horrific photos showing the bodies of a seven-month-old boy and his parents slaughtered in Oaxaca, Mexico, have sparked fierce debate about the country's rampant gang violence and society's acceptance of it.
They also likened the slain boy to Alan Kurdi, the three-year-old Syrian toddler whose photo made front pages the world over after his drowned body washed up on a Turkish beach.
The Mexican baby, identified as Marcos Miguel Pano Colón, was being carried by his 24-year-old father, Juan Alberto Pano Ramos, and accompanied by his 17-year-old mother, Alba Isabel Colón, when their attackers opened fire on the trio in the city of Pinotepa Nacional on Friday evening. All three died on the spot.
Photographs of their bodies soon began to circulate on Facebook and other social media sites, prompting users to ask why violence in the country had been allowed to spiral out of control.

Marcos Colón and his parents were shot in the Mexican city of Pinotepa Nacional. The images shocked Mexican web users, who compared Marcos to Alan Kurdi, the Syrian toddler whose body washed up on a Turkish beach in 2015

Seven-month-old Marcos Colón and his parents were killed in a ganglang shooting in the Mexican city of Pinotepa Nacional. Appalled Mexican web users began to question their society's acceptance of violence
Santiago Pinotepa Nacional Oaxaca, a Facebook page focusing on the city's events, posted an image of the murdered family and likened baby Marcos to Alan.
'This picture is running all around the world. It is just like the Syrian boy,' the post read. 'Pinotepa Nacional became famous last night, not from an earthquake, sadly, but because of this image.'
One comment read 'There should be no likes for this image. If you must, it is better to have many or millions of comments of sympathy, and [comments of] contempt for the cowards who did this and the ineptitude of the federal government.' The initial post had 2,979 likes at the time of writing.
The page also posted what it claimed was a photograph of Marcos before the shooting. It shows a cute baby boy being washed in a bucket of water.

Sweden's pregnant princesses Sofia and Victoria both show off their blooming baby bellies as they attend an official dinner at the Royal Palace

A Woman Tried Soda For The First Time And It Moved Her To Tears

Life is a series of new experiences, and some of them can be overwhelming. For one woman, her first taste of a sugary beverage gave her ~all~ the feels.
In a video uploaded to YouTube channel RumbleViral, a man named Mario learned that his girlfriend has lived her entire life without drinking soda because of an allergy to caffeine. So, as a surprise, he bought her a bottle of caffeine-free Pepsi and documented the momentous event.
The woman starts off excited and happy about the new experience. Once she drinks, it becomes pretty overpowering and she breaks down in tears. Her reaction might seem kind of silly, but it definitely makes you think about appreciating the things we take for granted.

A Potato Sold for $1M

Some of us send unfortunate texts after a few glasses of wine. Some European businessmen instead spend $1.08 million on a photo of a potato. "Potato #345" from celebrity photographer Kevin Abosch is just that: a portrait of an organic Irish potato against a black background. But a businessman who spotted the image at Abosch's Paris home last year was apparently transfixed. "We had two glasses of wine and he said, 'I really like that,'" Abosch tells the Sunday Times, per the BBC. "Two more glasses of wine and he said, 'I really want that.' We set the price two weeks later." The deal, which is only now being reported, was the biggest of Abosch's career, CNN reports. If the price is confirmed, "Potato #345" would be the 15th most expensive photo ever sold.

She spent eight months before her big day in August 2013 crafting 678 paper flowers, 120 order of booklets and 400 pom poms for decorating the church

'I kind of got carried away. But there was a great sense of achievement in seeing my vision come alive,' Marrianne told FEMAIL.
'I'm a designer so I usually get a vision of how I want things to look. When it all came together it was quite something. I just loved it.

Underage student who was at the blink of death from alcohol poisoning pens powerful essay warning others about the dangers of heavy partying

A college student from Nevada has issued a stark warning to young adults about the dangers of binge drinking, revealing how an underage drinking session at a concert left in a coma and nearly killed her.
Hanna Lottritz, a journalism student at the University of Nevada, Reno, turned 21 on Wednesday, but unlike most people her age, she insists she didn't celebrate the milestone occasion by heading to the bar - nor does she plan to any time soon.
Explaining her decision to avoid wild parties and over-the-top drinking in an essay shared on her blog, Hannah details the terrifying near-death experience, which took place six months ago, saying: 'I am writing this because I didn't realize the importance of drinking responsibly until I was waking up from a coma, and I don't want anyone to go through what my family and I went through.'
