Muslim Migrants Are Converting to Christianity.

Muslim migrants are converting to Christianity in record numbers. Why the massive influx to the newly claimed religion? Some analysts believe the purpose may be to win asylum in European nations, particularly Germany.

A preponderance of immigrants seeking asylum in Germany are coming from Afghanistan and Iran. According to reports, many are taking crash courses in Christianity to avoid being sent home.

If such political refugees claim to be Christian, it is fairly easy to make the case that they will face severe persecution upon returning home. Germany has been among the most favored destinations for Muslim refugees, with thousands arriving daily.

Chancellor Angela Merkel spoke about the influx of immigrants, which was transcribed by the Daily Mail:

“What we are experiencing now is something that will occupy and change our country in coming years.”

German pastor Gottfried Martens spends much of his time baptizing these former Muslims. He knows that many of them are converting so they can stay in the country, but the reasoning doesn’t matter to him:

‘”I know there are – again and again – people coming here because they have some kind of hope regarding their asylum,” he said.

“I am inviting them to join us because I know that whoever comes here will not be left unchanged.”

Martens also said that converts are so moved by the Christian message, that a mere 10 percent abandon the church after being christened.

Converted Christian Vesam Heydari disagreed with this small number, suggesting that most of the recent converts are not actually interested in the religion of Christ:

“The majority of Iranians here are not converting out of belief,” he said.

“They only want to stay in Germany.”

It is expected that over 800,000 Muslim migrants will seek refuge in Germany this year.
